Snowed In | Baby's First Snow
Posted on 12 January 2017
The New Year is here and new experiences are happening for our little crew. The baby got to see her first glimpse of white covered ground and Jack played enough in the fluffy stuff for the both of them!
Being from coastal North Carolina we aren’t always prepared for the sudden winter storm (see our attempt at snow gear below), but hand us a laundry basket, some garage rope, and an icy road and we can have some fun! We were fortunate enough to be just north of the snow line this past weekend to romp around in almost half a foot of snow. Our little babies sure do love some warm sand between their toes, but icy snow mixed in with a single digit chill had them all kinds of confused.
Little Layne stayed hibernated in her cozy bear suit and Jack spearheaded the winter wonderland adventures for the team. Mom and Dad tried their hand at a little laundry basket sledding down the steepest icy road they could find, and Jack quickly retracted his desire to take part after the first unpleasant wipe out. All in all a great day was had by the whole family and we surely made the best showing possible for this southern coastal crew!
Normally found with our toes in the ocean or snuggled up by a warm fire it was incredible that we were able to all rally for a few fun family photos in the white stuff. We hope you enjoy our excitement below:
