Nursery Feature | Layne's Soft Pink Baby Girl Room
Posted on 04 August 2016
Expecting a new baby and preparing for their arrival is such an emotional yet wonderful time! You’ll find yourself having so many things to do, so much to learn, and so many unknowns ahead. However, one thing that every expecting mother knows is that at some point throughout their pregnancy nesting will most certainly kick in! And when it does, the nursery is at the top of the list.
With our first child we went with a gender neutral nursery because we didn't know if he would be a boy or a girl (Have a look at his gender neutral nursery feature for some fun neutral inspiration). But, this time we knew our little baby girl was on the way and we didn't hesitate when it came to filling her room with pink girlie things! Tutus, flowers, and gold oh my...
Drawing inspiration from our blushing pink pearl swaddle, we decided to go with a soft pink wall color that is actually a shade of white from Sherwin Williams. We were able to reuse some of the furniture from Jack's nursery (a big plus when starting out with a gender neutral room!) and free up his space for a big boy room upgrade. Some old, and some new, we filled the space with pieces that we thought our baby girl would love.
There is something so sweet and pure about decorating for your baby before they're born. You can only imagine who they will be and what they will love yet you feel inspired to create for them something amazing!
We hope that you enjoy this peek into Layne's nursery.
