Beach Stroll | Impromptu Family Beach Trips
Posted on 25 January 2016
The first winter storm of the season (also known as #blizzard2016) has come and gone, yay! We were spared of all the snow and ice, being on the coast of North Carolina, but unfortunately all our neighbors to the west and north weren't so lucky. All we had was a lot of really cold rain and a few dark days so wasn't much fun either. Although it was fun to see everyone's snowball fighting, sledding, and snow angel making photos and videos!
Sunday was nice enough to show us the usual big blue Carolina sky so we couldn't pass on a stroll at the beach! With Jack, the Bob, and a few extra swaddles in tow we headed out to walk off Sunday brunch. There was a nice little winter chill in the air and not a cloud in the sky.
Impromptu afternoons like these with our little boy are extra special now knowing #2 is on the way. The joy on his face while running and exploring on the beach was priceless! The kid sure does love his freedom and has no fear of the water. Even as cold as it was we still had to keep him from running full speed into the ocean, ha.
We hope everyone was able to stay warm and had a great weekend! XO
