Nursery Feature | Will's Gray & Blue Baby Boy Nursery
Posted on 11 September 2015
Today we have a treat for you with the feature of Will's Nursery! Alana (my sister) and her husband David were generous enough to let us into their lives and give us a glimpse of their beautiful nursery. Our nephew's room is filled with much love and has meaning behind everything from the furniture to decorations. Thank you for welcoming us all into your lives.
"The nursery really came together the same way we decorate our home, many of the pieces are special to us because they have meaning to us. The bookshelf is from my days living in Asheville, the blanket copper tub is from our Great Aunt Alice, the rocking chair was a gift from my parents and they rocked each of us in it. :)
The Hummel came from my Grandma's collection, and the spoon with scripture came from David's grandparent's home - his mom had her friend add the lettering. The other theme that ties everything together is the art. We have some original art from David when he was a kid, surrounded by art from his mom and a piece from a family vacation in Hilton Head. The puppy print over Will's bed is a local Atlanta artist and given by special Atlanta Lab Rescue friends. The prints of baby animals were taken by an amazing photographer and found online at The Animal Print Shop.
We love our Signature blanket because we literally use it for everything! I have swaddled Will, covered him in the carseat or stroller, used it on vacation as a pack-n-play crib sheet, and even once used it as a baby sling carrier at Ikea because he wanted to be held and he is so big now that it is tough for long periods of time! The size and weight really make it very versatile."
